Hush Puppies

2 cups corn meal
1/2 cup water
1 and a half cups of milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 medium onion diced (Vidalia, if you can get it)
Mix all ingredients and drop by teaspoonfuls into very hot deep fat (You might try gloves to prevent burns from splashing hot grease!). Fry until golden brown.
